PURPOSE | The purpose of this KPI is to measure progress in the implementation of emergency preparedness across WFP operations by assessing the extent to which minimum preparedness standards are met. It responds to findings from the 2024 Emergency Preparedness Policy Evaluation, which identified gaps in the availability of context‑adaptable indicators for monitoring preparedness. The KPI uses the Emergency Preparedness Checklist (EPC) to track completion of core preparedness actions applicable to all operations and leverages the Corporate Alert System (CAS) to provide a consistent, corporate‑level view of preparedness status and priority contexts Note: The baseline is set at zero given that the EPC content was revised and expanded in 2025 and will be fully rolled out for the first time in 2026 |
CALCULATION FORMULA | Result KPI = (Number of Country Offices in the CAS that have completed all EPC actions / Total number of Country Offices in the CAS) X 100 |
