RESPONSIBLE DIVISION

TECR

MR OUTPUT

2.5. Innovation and technology

PURPOSE

This KPI measures TEC’s contribution to WFP's on going transition towards a more digitally enabled, data-driven organization. It reflects the proportion of efficiency initiatives owned, enabled, or supported by TEC through digital solutions, showing how technology drives operational efficiency, improves decision-making, and optimizes resources across all contexts

CALCULATION FORMULA

Result KPI = (Count of Efficiency Gains Initiatives containing a digital component enabled by TEC / Total number of Efficiency Gain Initiatives created in WFP) X 100

CALCULATION STEPS

  1. Identify Total Initiatives: Retrieve the total number of Efficiency Gains Initiatives officially recorded within WFP during the reference period (e.g., via INK or CFOB's registry of initiatives)

  2. Filter Digital + TEC-Enabled Initiatives: Include all TEC-related Efficiency Gains Initiatives in the numerator — specifically those owned and submitted by TEC, as well as those that contain a digital or technological component enabled or supported by TEC (e.g., through development, technical support, or strategic collaboration)

  3. Apply the formula

DATA SOURCE

Data is available from:

• WFP's Efficiency Gains tracker inside the resources to results tool (managed by CFO)

• TEC’s internal records

DATA COLLECTION METHOD

  • Review the corporate Efficiency Gains repository (in the resources-to-results tool) managed by CFO) to identify all officially submitted initiatives for the year.

  • Check each initiative for a digital component and TEC’s involvement (ownership, enablement, or support)

  • Consult TEC’s internal workplan and project documentation to validate and supplement information

  • Match TEC-recorded activities with corporate efficiency records for consistency.

  • Compile the final dataset manually and validate through cross-functional consultation between
