UNIT OF MEASUREMENT & ANALYSIS | Proportion of countries |
INDICATOR DEFINITION | This indicator measures the proportion of countries where WFP emergency assistance has contributed to maintaining or improving household food consumption levels, as assessed through the Food Consumption Score (FCS). The FCS serves as a proxy for households’ food intake or caloric consumption. |
MANDATORY COUNTRY-LEVEL INDICATORS & INCLUSION CRITERIA FOR APR AGGREGATION | Mandatory Country level Indicator(s) composing the corporate indicator: Inclusion criteria for Mandatory Country Level Indicator(s): The mandatory country level indicator is included in the aggregation of the corporate indicator under SO.1 only if all the following conditions are met
|
CALCULATION & AGGREGATION | This indicator is derived from the aggregation of the country-level indicator. To calculate this indicator, use the following steps:
Note: The objective is to reduce the proportion of households using Poor or Borderline consumption. However, changes should be assessed not only by the overall Poor + Borderline prevalence but also by movements between FCS categories. In the follow-up values, if the proportion of households shifting from Borderline to Poor consumption is greater than the observed reduction in the Poor + Borderline population, the result should be classified as a deterioration and not counted in the numerator, as it reflects a worsening in the severity of consumption despite any apparent overall improvement. |
